Local Data Gathering
Mapping of the situation on a National Level through online Questionnaires, Workshops and Research Report
Each partner organization will implement 2 workshops with duration of 3 hours each for 30 local participants, the main theme of the workshops will be: Local data gathering and consultation on the availability and use of e-participation tools, as well as the needs of local citizens
Objectives:
- Data gathering/Needs analysis in each partner municipality on the availability and use of e-participation tools, as well as the needs of local citizens
- To analyze, monitor, and research existing tools and methods of civic e-participation.
International Activity
A 4 hours-duration Conference with 55 international participants, young people – municipal representatives – NGO stakeholders will take place Greece, Athens by the leading organization – I.R.T.E.A, where the partners will overview the e-participation tools in a user-friendly manual, with practical examples, of how they can be used (in different combinations) to enhance civic.
Objectives:
- To collect and present the tools in a youth friendly way, along with practical examples, making them easier to understand and more accessible to EU citizens
- To identify and exchange European good practices in the field of e-participation between European municipalities
Workshop for young people and municipal employees
- Each partner organization will implement a 3-hour workshop session with young people where the municipal employees will only observe in order to record the needs and issues of the young people of their area, with 30 local participants.
- Each partner organization will implement a 2-hour workshop for municipal employees only with 30 local participants
Objectives:
- To educate, train and empower both young citizens and municipal employees on e-participation tools and concepts such as e-democracy, participatory approaches for local governance etc.
- To identify common local issues and challenges and work together on common solutions
Young People Hackathon
A 2 days international event will be held in Greece, Athens by the leading organization – I.R.T.E.A with the participation of 55 young participants, in these 2 days a Hackathon for young people will take place with the goal of mixing the tools and methods of civic e-participation from the manual that has been formed to tackle specific local needs.
Objectives:
- Intercultural and international cooperation of young people
- Adaptation and mixing of tools and methods of civic e-participation from the manual to tackle specific local needs
Closing International Conference
A 4 hours International Conference will be held in Greece, Athens by the leading organization – I.R.T.E.A, with the participation of 55 international participants, where the finalized manual with existing methods and tools for civic e -participation tools updated to include the results and proposals of the hackathon of WP12 will be presented.
Objectives:
- To present and disseminate the manual on civic e-participation tools
- To bring together young people, policy makers and other relevant stakeholders
- Future cooperation and implementation of the manual at local level
